Solis was 30 years old and with a record of 39-2-2 (29), and Ramos was 24 years old and with a record of 21-2 (15). Solis stopped Likar Ramos via 7th-round KO and is crowned the new super-featherweight world champion.
On May 17, 2008 Jorge Solis faced off against Miguel Roman at age 28. He was coming in with a record of 36-1-2 (26), and Roman was 22 years old and with a record of 25-2 (17). Solis won the fight via 10-round unanimous decision.
