      James Tillis (Quick) is a 66-year old retired American professional boxer. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, U.S. on July 5, 1957. He retired without winning a major world title. His professional boxing career spanned more than 22 years — from 1978 to 2001.

      Tillis made his professional boxing debut against Ron Stephany at the age of 21 on November 18, 1978, defeating Stephany via 1st round KO. He went on to win 19 more consecutive fights after the debut, which included 15 wins via stoppage.

      He had his first world title fight at the age of 24 on October 3, 1981 after 20 professional fights, against Mike Weaver for the WBA title. He lost to Weaver via 15 round unanimous decision.

      Tillis had a total of 22 losses in his professional boxing career.
