Cordoba was 29 years old and with a record of 18-2-3 (14), and Tiozzo was 27 years old and with a record of 28-0 (20). Cordoba stopped Christophe Tiozzo via 9th-round TKO and is crowned the new super-middleweight world champion.
On December 13, 1991 Victor Cordoba met Vincenzo Nardiello in a super-middleweight (WBA) world-title defense fight. Cordoba was 29 years old and with a record of 19-2-3 (15), and Nardiello was 25 years old and with a record of 17-0 (11). Cordoba stopped Vincenzo Nardiello via 11th-round TKO and successfully defended his title.
