On February 26, 2019 Vic Saludar met Masataka Taniguchi in a strawweight (WBO) world-title defense fight. Saludar was 28 years old and with a record of 19-3 (10), and Taniguchi was 25 years old and with a record of 11-2 (7). Saludar won the fight via 12-round unanimous decision and successfully defended his title.
On September 9, 2015 Vic Saludar faced off against Rizky Pratama in a strawweight bout at age 24. He was coming in with a record of 11-1 (9). Saludar stopped Rizky Pratama via TKO.
