On August 16, 2018 TJ Doheny fought Ryosuke Iwasa in a super-bantamweight world-title fight for Iwasa's IBF title. Doheny was 31 years old and with a record of 20-0 (14), and Iwasa was 28 years old and with a record of 25-2 (16). Doheny won the fight via 12-round unanimous decision and is crowned the new super-bantamweight world champion.
On March 19, 2022 TJ Doheny faced off against Cesar Juarez in a featherweight bout at age 35. He was coming in with a record of 23-3 (17), and Juarez was 30 years old and with a record of 27-10 (20). Doheny stopped Cesar Juarez via TKO.
