On March 18, 2017 Srisaket Sor Rungvisai fought Román González in a super-flyweight world-title fight for González' WBC title. Rungvisai was 30 years old and with a record of 43-4-1 (39), and González was 29 years old and with a record of 46-0 (38). Rungvisai won the fight via 12-round majority decision and is crowned the new super-flyweight world champion.
On September 9, 2017 Srisaket Sor Rungvisai met Román González in a super-flyweight (WBC) world-title defense fight. Rungvisai was 30 years old and with a record of 44-4-1 (40), and González was 30 years old and with a record of 46-1 (38). Rungvisai stopped Román González via 4th-round TKO and successfully defended his title.
On February 24, 2018 Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, the WBC champion, met Juan Francisco Estrada, the The Ring champion, in a super-flyweight world-title unification fight.
