On December 2, 2017 Sadam Ali fought Miguel Cotto in a super-welterweight world-title fight for Cotto's WBO title. Ali was 29 years old and with a record of 26-1 (14), and Cotto was 37 years old and with a record of 41-5 (33). Ali won the fight via 12-round unanimous decision and is crowned the new super-welterweight world champion.
On December 15, 2018 Sadam Ali faced off against Mauricio Herrera at age 30. He was coming in with a record of 27-2 (14), and Herrera was 38 years old and with a record of 24-7 (7). Ali won the fight via 10-round unanimous decision.
On April 19, 2014 Sadam Ali faced off against Michael Clark in a welterweight bout at age 25. He was coming in with a record of 19-0 (12). Ali stopped Michael Clark via KO.
