On July 16, 1947 Rocky Graziano fought Tony Zale in a middleweight world-title fight for Zale's The Ring title. Graziano was 28 years old and with a record of 46-7-5 (34), and Zale was 34 years old and with a record of 63-16-2 (41). Graziano stopped Tony Zale via 6th-round TKO and is crowned the new middleweight world champion.
