On June 29, 1933 Primo Carnera fought Jack Sharkey in a heavyweight world-title fight for Sharkey's The Ring title. Carnera was 26 years old and with a record of 76-6 (63), and Sharkey was 30 years old and with a record of 36-9-2 (12). Carnera stopped Jack Sharkey via 6th-round KO and is crowned the new heavyweight world champion.
