On June 4, 1974 Oscar Albarado fought Koichi Wajima in a super-welterweight world-title fight for Wajima's WBA and WBC titles. Albarado was 25 years old and with a record of 49-6-1 (37), and Wajima was 31 years old and with a record of 29-2-1 (24). Albarado stopped Koichi Wajima via 15th-round KO and is crowned the new super-welterweight world champion.
