On June 14, 1934 Max Baer fought Primo Carnera in a heavyweight world-title fight for Carnera's The Ring title. Baer was 25 years old and with a record of 40-7 (30), and Carnera was 27 years old and with a record of 78-6 (63). Baer stopped Primo Carnera via 11th-round TKO and is crowned the new heavyweight world champion.
On June 8, 1933 Max Baer faced off against Max Schmeling at age 24. He was coming in with a record of 39-7 (29), and Schmeling was 27 years old and with a record of 45-5-3 (31). Baer stopped Max Schmeling via TKO.
