Bramble was 24 years old and with a record of 23-1-1 (14), and Mancini was 23 years old and with a record of 29-2 (23). Bramble won the fight via 15-round unanimous decision and successfully defended his title.
On June 1, 1984 Livingstone Bramble fought Ray Mancini in a lightweight world-title fight for Mancini's WBA title. Bramble was 23 years old and with a record of 21-1-1 (14), and Mancini was 23 years old and with a record of 29-1 (23). Bramble stopped Ray Mancini via 14th-round TKO and is crowned the new lightweight world champion.
On August 8, 1989 Livingstone Bramble faced off against Harold Brazier in a super-lightweight bout at age 28. He was coming in with a record of 29-3-2 (19). Bramble stopped Harold Brazier via TKO.
