On April 10, 2004 Lamon Brewster fought Wladimir Klitschko in a heavyweight world-title fight for the WBO title. Brewster was 30 years old and with a record of 30-2 (27), and Klitschko was 28 years old and with a record of 42-2 (38). Brewster stopped Wladimir Klitschko via 5th-round TKO and is crowned the new heavyweight world champion.
On May 21, 2005 Lamon Brewster met Andrew Golota in a heavyweight (WBO) world-title defense fight. Brewster was 31 years old and with a record of 32-2 (28), and Golota was 37 years old and with a record of 38-5-1 (31). Brewster stopped Andrew Golota via 1st-round TKO and successfully defended his title.
