On November 27, 2021 Kenichi Ogawa fought Azinga Fuzile in a super-featherweight world-title fight for the IBF title. Ogawa was 33 years old and with a record of 26-1-1 (18), and Fuzile was 25 years old and with a record of 15-1 (9). Ogawa won the fight via 12-round unanimous decision and is crowned the new super-featherweight world champion.
On April 1, 2023 Kenichi Ogawa faced off against Kaewfah Tor Buamas in a super-featherweight bout at age 35. He was coming in with a record of 27-2-1 (19), and Buamas was 36 years old and with a record of 32-9 (22). Ogawa stopped Kaewfah Tor Buamas via TKO.
