On November 3, 1984 Juan Meza fought Jaime Garza in a super-bantamweight world-title fight for Garza's WBC title. Meza was 28 years old and with a record of 42-5 (34). Meza stopped Jaime Garza via 1st-round KO and is crowned the new super-bantamweight world champion.
