On January 15, 2004 Ishe Smith faced off against Randall Bailey in a welterweight bout at age 25. He was coming in with a record of 14-0 (7), and Bailey was 29 years old and with a record of 27-3 (26). Smith won the fight via 12-round unanimous decision.
On February 23, 2013 Ishe Smith fought Cornelius Bundrage in a super-welterweight world-title fight for Bundrage's IBF title. Smith was 34 years old and with a record of 25-5 (11), and Bundrage was 39 years old and with a record of 32-4 (19). Smith won the fight via 12-round majority decision and is crowned the new super-welterweight world champion.
