On December 17, 1991 Hiroki Ioka fought Yuh Myung-Woo in a light-flyweight world-title fight for Myung-Woo's WBA title. Ioka was 22 years old and with a record of 19-2-1 (9), and Myung-Woo was 27 years old and with a record of 36-0 (14). Ioka won the fight via 12-round split decision and is crowned the new light-flyweight world champion.
On January 31, 1988 Hiroki Ioka met Kyung-Yung Lee in a strawweight (WBC) world-title defense fight. Ioka was 19 years old and with a record of 10-0 (6), and Lee was 21 years old and with a record of 11-0 (4). Ioka stopped Kyung-Yung Lee via 12th-round TKO and successfully defended his title.
