Tunney was 29 years old and with a record of 77-1-4 (47), and Dempsey was 31 years old and with a record of 57-4-9 (42). Tunney won the fight via 10-round unanimous decision and is crowned the new heavyweight world champion.

Tunney was 30 years old and with a record of 78-1-4 (47), and Dempsey was 32 years old and with a record of 58-5-9 (43). Tunney won the fight via 10-round unanimous decision and successfully defended his title.
