Terrell won the fight via 15-round unanimous decision and successfully defended his title.
On November 1, 1965 Ernie Terrell met George Chuvalo in a heavyweight (WBA) world-title defense fight. Terrell was 26 years old and with a record of 38-4 (18), and Chuvalo was 28 years old and with a record of 33-9-2 (27). Terrell won the fight via 15-round unanimous decision and successfully defended his title.
