On June 21, 2019 Elwin Soto fought Ángel Acosta in a light-flyweight world-title fight for Acosta's WBO title. Soto was 22 years old and with a record of 15-1 (11), and Acosta was 28 years old and with a record of 20-1 (20). Soto stopped Ángel Acosta via 12th-round KO and is crowned the new light-flyweight world champion.
