Bridges won the fight via 10-round unanimous decision and is crowned the new bantamweight world champion.
On December 10, 2022 Ebanie Bridges met Shannon O'Connell in a bantamweight (IBF) world-title defense fight. Bridges was 36 years old and with a record of 9-1 (4), and O'Connell was 39 years old and with a record of 23-6-1 (11). Bridges stopped Shannon O'Connell via 8th-round TKO and successfully defended her title.
