On June 16, 1995 Carl Daniels fought Julio César Green in a super-welterweight world-title fight for the WBA title. Daniels was 24 years old and with a record of 35-1 (22), and Green was 28 years old and with a record of 19-1 (13). Daniels won the fight via 12-round unanimous decision and is crowned the new super-welterweight world champion.
