Tarver won the fight via 12-round unanimous decision and successfully defended his title.
On May 15, 2004 Antonio Tarver fought Roy Jones Jr. in a light-heavyweight world-title fight for Jones Jr.'s WBA (Super), WBC and The Ring titles.
