On August 16, 2014 Anthony Dirrell fought Sakio Bika in a super-middleweight world-title fight for Bika's WBC title. Dirrell was 29 years old and with a record of 27-0-1 (22), and Bika was 35 years old and with a record of 32-5-3 (21). Dirrell won the fight via 12-round unanimous decision and is crowned the new super-middleweight world champion.
On September 6, 2015 Anthony Dirrell faced off against Marco Antonio Rubio at age 30. He was coming in with a record of 28-1-1 (22), and Rubio was 35 years old and with a record of 59-7-1 (51). Dirrell won the fight via 10-round unanimous decision.
On April 29, 2016 Anthony Dirrell faced off against Caleb Truax at age 31. He was coming in with a record of 29-1-1 (23), and Truax was 32 years old and with a record of 26-2-2 (16). Dirrell stopped Caleb Truax via TKO.
