On May 10, 2014 Amir Imam faced off against Yordenis Ugás in a super-lightweight bout at age 23. He was coming in with a record of 14-0 (12), and Ugás was 27 years old and with a record of 15-2 (7). Imam won the fight via 8-round unanimous decision.
