Boxing Career
Kyung-Yung Lee was born in Bonghwa, North Gyeongsang, South Korea on December 4, 1966. He made his professional debut at the age of 19 years on December 4, 1985 against Young Jae Chung. Lee defeated Chung via 3rd round KO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Lee became a world champion at the age of 20 after 10 professional fights. He challenged Masaharu Kawakami for the IBF strawweight title and stopped the champion in the 2nd of the 15-round fight, winning his first world title.
Lee's last fight was a 1st-round TKO loss to Pichit Sithbanprachan at age 26, on July 11, 1993, in which he was fighting for the IBF flyweight title.
