Romulo Koasicha was born in Veracruz, Veracruz, Mexico on April 29, 1991. He made his professional debut at the age of 17 years on October 18, 2008 against Alfredo Arellano. Koasicha defeated Arellano via 1st round KO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Koasicha got his first shot at a world title at the age of 24 after 29 professional fights. On November 7, 2015 Koasicha challenged Vasyl Lomachenko's WBO featherweight title but lost via 10th round KO. Koasicha never got a world-title shot again.
