Myung-woo came in to the fight on a 36-fight win streak with a 38% KO rate, and was fighting after a gap of 7 months and 19 days. Ioka was on a 7-fight win streak with a 42% KO rate, and fighting after a layoff of 5 months and 20 days.
Hiroki Ioka defeated Yuh Myung-Woo via split decision and wins the WBA title. Ioka improves his record to 19-2-1, while Myung-woo adds a loss to his record at 36-1.
