Ben Tackie (Wonder) is a 50-year old retired Ghanaian professional boxer. He was born in Accra, Ghana on July 23, 1973. He retired without winning a major world title. His professional boxing career spanned more than 21 years — from 1994 to 2015.
Tackie made his professional boxing debut against Joe Alabi at the age of 20 on May 12, 1994, defeating Alabi via 2nd round TKO. He went on to win 17 more consecutive fights after the debut, which included 10 wins via stoppage.
He had his first world title fight at the age of 28 on May 18, 2002 after 26 professional fights, against Kostya Tszyu for the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles. He lost to Tszyu via 12 round unanimous decision.
