      Andrew Golota is a 56-year old retired Polish professional boxer. He was born in Warsaw, Poland on January 5, 1968. He retired without winning a major world title. His professional boxing career spanned more than 21 years — from 1992 to 2013.

      Golota made his professional boxing debut against Roosevelt Shuler at the age of 24 on February 7, 1992, defeating Shuler via 3rd round TKO. He went on to win 27 more consecutive fights after the debut, which included 24 wins via stoppage.

      He had his first world title fight at the age of 29 on October 4, 1997 after 30 professional fights, against Lennox Lewis for the WBC title. He lost to Lewis via 1st round KO.
