      Paul Briggs (Hurricane) is a 48-year old retired Australian professional boxer. He was born in Christchurch, New Zealand on August 13, 1975. He retired without winning a major world title. His professional boxing career spanned more than 16 years — from 1994 to 2010.

      Briggs made his professional boxing debut against Ronald Doo at the age of 18 on June 19, 1994, defeating Doo via 10 round majority decision.
