      Boxing career

      Oba Carr (Motor City) is a 52-year old retired American professional boxer. He was born in Michigan, USA on May 11, 1972. He retired without winning a major world title. His professional boxing career spanned more than 12 years — from 1989 to 2002.

      Carr made his professional boxing debut against Marcus Reed at the age of 17 on December 22, 1989, defeating Reed via 1st round KO. He went on to win 31 more consecutive fights after the debut, which included 19 wins via stoppage.

      He had his first world title fight at the age of 22 on December 10, 1994 after 32 professional fights, against Felix Trinidad for the IBF title. He lost to Trinidad via 8th round TKO.

      Carr had a total of six losses in his professional boxing career.
