      Boxing career

      Nicolino Locche (El Intocable) was an Argentinian professional boxer. He was born in Tunuyan, Mendoza, Argentina on September 2, 1939. He was a super-lightweight world champion. He died on September 7, 2005 at the age of 66 years. Locche was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) in 2003. His professional boxing career spanned more than 17 years — from 1958 to 1976.

      Locche made his professional boxing debut against Luis García at the age of 19 on December 11, 1958, defeating García via 2nd round KO. He went on to win 2 more consecutive fights after the debut.

      He had his first world title fight at the age of 29 on December 12, 1968 after 106 professional fights, against Takeshi Fuji for the super-lightweight WBA and The Ring titles. He defeated Fuji via 10th round RTD to become the super-lightweight champion of the world.
