Johnson was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) in 2012. His professional boxing career spanned more than 16 years — from 1990 to 2006.
Johnson made his professional boxing debut against Ray González at the age of 18 on February 24, 1990, defeating González via 3rd round KO.
