      Kim Duk-koo (Deukoo Kim) was a South Korean professional boxer. He was born in Goseong County, Gangwon, South Korea on July 29, 1955. Kim died on November 18, 1982 at the age of 27 years. His professional boxing career spanned more than 3 years — from 1978 to 1982.

      Kim made his professional boxing debut against Myung Soo Park at the age of 23 on December 7, 1978, defeating Park via 4 round PTS.

      He had his first world title fight at the age of 27 on November 13, 1982 after 19 professional fights, against Ray Mancini for the WBA title. He lost to Mancini via 14th round KO.
