      Carl Williams (The Truth) was an American professional boxer. He was born in Belle Glade, Florida, U.S. on November 11, 1959. Williams died on April 7, 2013 at the age of 53 years. His professional boxing career spanned more than 15 years — from 1982 to 1997.

      Williams made his professional boxing debut against Greg Stephany at the age of 22 on January 22, 1982, defeating Stephany via 4 round unanimous decision. He went on to win 15 more consecutive fights after the debut, which included 12 wins via stoppage.

      He had his first world title fight at the age of 25 on May 20, 1985 after 16 professional fights, against Larry Holmes for the IBF and The Ring titles. He lost to Holmes via 15 round unanimous decision.

      Williams had a total of 10 losses in his professional boxing career.

      His last professional fight was a non-title bout against Anthony Green at 37 years of age, on October 30, 1997. Williams lost the fight via 7th round TKO.
